What is happening in Myanmar today is truly devastating for the country's people, and is also a threat to their democracy. The military and police have been committing crimes against humanity, and this is why it is no longer just an internal affair of one country. The future of young people, such as myself, depends on victory in this fight.  As a student who has been actively participating in recent activities in Australia against the attempted military coup in Myanmar, I will introduce the general situation there at the moment, including an outline of how the coup started. I will also talk about what we have been doing in Australia, why we are taking these actions, and how local Australians might be able to help us in this fight for democracy in Myanmar, as well as for the future of the people of Myanmar. The talk will also provide an opportunity to have your questions answered about the situation in Myanmar.
