Israel is currently facing a third election in under 12 months, both front runners have declared they will annex the Jordan Valley, and Trump’s Deal of the Century is due to be released this week. But what does this all mean for Palestinians? Probably very little. Israeli annexation has long been underway throughout the West Bank.
This talk is grounded in a historical analysis of Israeli government policies towards Palestinian lands, and will discuss recent research conducted by the Palestinian NGO BADIL on the Israeli mechanisms to effect annexation, the current status of the evolving annexation in the West Bank, and the broader strategy to delegitimise the Palestinian right to self-determination.
