In this presentation Dr Mammad Aidani will discuss political, cultural and religious transformations in the Middle East.
How are democracy and justice perceived in Middle Eastern societies? How can political freedom and social justice transform the political consciousness of these societies? And can forgiveness subdue the suffering, fragmentation, violence and instability suffusing the Middle East? But more importantly, what is the value of forgiveness in war torn Iraq, paralysed Syria, democracy stalled Egypt and authoritarian Iran?
